Located on a busy cross-junction, Cafe Cafe is a slice of Paris in downtown Kuala Lumpur. A friend recommended me this place so one fine day I brought dearie to Cafe Cafe for a special treat on his special day. Ambience was pretty good with dim lightings and chandeliers filled the place. Sumptuous dining in a classic European style; it is a rather refreshingly interesting place to meet friends, colleagues, or even a special acquaintance. One fine day I received an email from Andrea, the marketing manager for Coca Restaurant who cordially invited me and another 3 guests for a complimentary food session at their franchise in Subang Parade. Anticipating the ever fresh seafood steamboat Coca has to offer, we were spoilt with choices of a few selected al carte appetizers and their steamboat seafood set worth RM 168 ++. We were fed with endless good food on the table and also not forgetting the free flow of drinks from the menu. We were definitely stuffed and feeling all satisfied with the overall quality of the food Coca has to offer. Though dining at Coca restaurant comes with heftier price tag but I reckon the food served was top quality with great service and good ambience. “The name “Melting Pot” connotes variety” explains our host and indeed one would readily agree that it would aptly apply where we are sitting. The Melting Pot Café is Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s signature restaurant which has a seating capacity for 216 and briefly comprises an intimate dining area and bar lounge. There are also open “action stations” for those who enjoy watching their food being prepared.

The fact that it was a slightly rainy day in Kuala Lumpur meant that the crowd was rather subtle and one could unwind comfortably watching the rest of the world go by. Located slightly off the façade of the hotel, Melting Pot overlooks the hive of activity that is Jalan Sultan Ismail a walk away from the best of KL club scene.

But it isn’t that view that brought us here tonight. Rather, it is the two guest chefs specially flown over from Pattaya, Thailand. Chefs Boonsom Wongchareon and Nopparat Pianpisai are here to entice diners with an array of Thai cuisine from their years of experience in the industry.

Is a must TRY cuisine… worth the price !! comfy and cozy environment..
