Mango or fondly known as ’superfruit’ contains high prebiotic dietary fiber, vitamin C and other vitamins. Not only delicious own its own, but also add flavours to desserts. Sink your sweet tooth into this a slice of mango caramel, a perfect tea time indulgence at Melting Pot CafĂ© this March.
To prepare this toothsome dessert, first step is to prepare the chocolate base. Beat sugar and egg white powder well. Whisk egg white until it becomes a meringue. Next, add in almond, melted chocolate and rose flour. Mix well and bake at 110 degree Celsius for 10 minutes. Second step is to prepare mango coulis. Mix mango puree, mango cubes and black pepper together. Boil sugar, lemon juice and gelatin till it is golden brown and pour it into the mango mixture earlier. Chill this mixture for an hour. |

French Apple Tart flamed with Calvados and topped with Vanilla Ice Cream.
The alcohol was flaming away and totally masked what was on the plate. To be honest, i rather have a non-alcoholic version even though i love a good glass of wine. The apple was stewed till mush which was nice but the tart was rather drenched. The ice-cream was the only saviour to get everything to taste sweet. Just like a dessert and a make do birthday cake for the lovely lady.
Originally i wanted to get the staff to arrange for a slice of cake but i was told that if i ever pull such a trick from my sleeve, she would walk away from me.

This dessert was so thrilling with excitement due to the tangyness of the mango cheese mousse, the mango mint salsa as just adorable, complimented the dessert perfectly. Raspberries and blueberries, my favourite too. I just love the presentation and wanting to own the serving plate too. Hahahaha I must put in a note to Avanti so that I can served my guests with such a beautiful plate. Well just a wish, my birthdayis just around the corner, lol! |
Espresso Sherbet with Coconut Candy

This petite espresso sherbet was so amazingly good, you can sure taste the bitterness of the espresso and coconut candy complimented the sherbet, not too sweet at all.
